About Peter Naughton
Peter Naughton is a Melbourne based Creative Director/Designer who has worked with brands such as Levis, Lee Jeans, Country Road, Saba, Stussy, Adidas and Rabens Saloner.
An early break with the boom of Streetwear in the 90s lead to Peter working for Sean Stussy co-ordinating ranges for the Australian market for four years. From there Peter designed for the brand Bolle’, before becoming senior Menswear designer for Country Road, in 1998.
In 2001, Peter was appointed Head of Design for Levis. This was by followed by consultancy projects with Adidas, Slazenger and Hot Tuna. In 2005 he was appointed as Senior Creative Saba, commencing a long standing relationship that involved the relocation to Sydney under the acquisition under APG.
In 2011 Peter moved to Europe based in Copenhagen as senior designer for independent luxury Danish brand Rabens Saloner. Since returning to Australia in 2013, Peter has completed a series of strategic brand contracts including; PASS group (2013-14), Metalicus, True Alliance (2014-15), LEE Jeans, APG (2015) SABA, Brand Collective (2016-17) Group brand management – Apparel.
Peter has presented in Fashion weeks internationally, lectured in sustainable fashion at RMIT and Whitehouse and contributed to the global forecasting agencies of Scout (Sydney) and Future Laboratory (UK).
Peter is currently a Business mentor with the Australian Fashion Council, working with emerging designers with a special interest in Indigenous Fashion. He is also the Melbourne based representative to Artisans of Fashion and The better Packaging Co.
